This year, we continued to grow our suite of solutions to better meet the diverse needs of our clients. From launching new digital tools to expanding training opportunities, we focused on creating offerings that are practical, evidence-informed, and adaptable across formats.
PeerOnCall
A key milestone for our Digital Innovation team was to lay the groundwork for the launch of PeerOnCall—a digital peer support application created to enhance mental health and wellness in the workplace.
Initially co-designed and researched in collaboration with McMaster University public safety communities, Stepped Care Solutions now owns and operates the digital platform. In addition to refactoring the technology and migrating the product to our own cloud infrastructure, we redesigned the app for commercial scale with capabilities to serve a broader range of workforces beyond public safety.
Doing this required SCS to ensure the product was sustainable, available for continued research projects, and commercially appealing to an expanded audience. We continue to act as McMaster’s implementation partner to support their ongoing research.
These efforts, alongside other digital advancements, position SCS to respond quickly to evolving needs and scale the Stepped Care 2.0® model with consistency and quality.
Expanded Training and Consultation
Working with partners in New Brunswick provincial implementation, Stepped Care Solutions strengthened its ability to deliver training and consultation in both English and French. Responding to the needs of clients in New Brunswick and Quebec, we expanded our bilingual capacity across One-at-a-Time (OAAT) training, online learning resources, and consultation supports.
We also began offering our OAAT training and resources in Spanish thanks to a training partnership with Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and experts in South America and Mexico.
This work ensures that more clinicians, supervisors, and communities can access high-quality training and system expertise in their language of choice. It also positions SCS to bring more inclusive, scalable digital and learning innovations to additional jurisdictions.
