In Thunder Bay and the surrounding communities, the North Shore Family Health Team is asking a powerful question: How can we make the most of the mental health and substance use health services we already have?

With support from SCS, they hosted an in-person design day that brought together service providers from across the region. The session uncovered system strengths, identified opportunities, and highlighted gaps that matter most to communities.

The outcome was a living services map—a tool to support strategic planning for new or expanded services, and to help both providers and residents better navigate the system. By building on what works, the North Shore Family Health Team is creating a more connected, responsive, and equitable system for the people they serve.
